The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go 14″ ranks first among Chromebook listings on Amazon US, at an estimated 6,000 units a month in July 2026, per ASINsight. It is the cheapest new machine on the list at $189.00.

Amazon does not publish per-listing unit sales. Seller analytics tools model these numbers from Best Sellers Rank, so the figures below rank listings rather than count them.

Five of the ten listings carry Renewed labels. Four of those price below $90, which puts them under most tablets rather than most laptops.

Lenovo places four models on the list, more than any other brand. Retail listing rank is a separate measure from shipment volume, and the pattern differs sharply from the split between Chromebook and Windows notebook volumes.

Best Selling Chromebook Brands by Global Shipments

Lenovo led worldwide Chromebook shipments in Q1 2026 with 1,465,000 units, a 32.5% share, according to Omdia. HP followed at 1,066,000 units and Acer at 937,000.

These are sell-in shipments to channel, counted globally. They measure something different from Amazon listing estimates, so the two rankings should not be read against each other.

Dell fell hardest at 28.3%. Acer held up best of the five at 4.9%, which Omdia links to stable North American channel shipments and higher volumes into Asia Pacific.

Lenovo’s share moved from 32.4% to 32.5% while its volume dropped, because the market contracted faster than the vendor did. ASUS climbed from 7.7% to 9.0%, and HP slipped from 24.7% to 23.7%.

What Drove the Q1 2026 Decline?

Omdia principal analyst Kieren Jessop names deferred education deployments and weak production indicators. He describes Chromebooks as the most affected category inside the PC segment.

Lenovo’s drop followed the close of the first phase of Japan’s GIGA School Program, which ran from end-2024 through end-2025 and finished without major disruption, per Omdia. Jessop expects supply constraints to delay the second phase, a pattern worth reading alongside district-level purchasing in K-12 and regional shipment weighting by country.

Why the Best Selling Chromebook Models Cost More in 2026

Conventional DRAM contract prices rose roughly 93% to 98% quarter on quarter in Q1 2026, TrendForce reported on 1 June 2026. The firm expects a further 58% to 63% rise in Q2 2026.

Memory industry revenue climbed 81% quarter on quarter in Q1 2026, reaching $97 billion.

Lenovo unveiled the Chromebook Plus (14″, 10) on 23 June 2025, the first Chromebook built on MediaTek’s Kompanio Ultra processor, with 50 TOPS of AI performance. It starts at $649 and is rated for up to 17 hours of battery life.

How Fast Is the NPU Tier Growing?

Canalys projects NPU integration rising from 7% of Chromebook shipments in 2025 to over 40% by 2028. Total shipments barely move across the same span.

Canalys expects Chromebooks to face higher barriers outside education as Windows and Apple push on-device AI down their ranges. That squeeze also shows up in desktop operating system shares across individual markets.

Buyers who want a development environment on cheaper hardware can still run a Debian container on ChromeOS without meeting the Plus floor.
